Nov 16 – Alynu Evening of Unity and Comedy

Funds After-School Activities for Displaced Children in Netanya.

November 16th was  Alynu’s first official fundraising event, held at the Matnas (Community Centre) of Ir Yamim and it proved to be a sell out!

Well known standup artist Avi Liberman (of Comedy for Koby), together with Dana Segal Perry and Yossi Tarablus treated the audience of over 250 to a hilarious comedy session and truly lifted their spirits.

The evening began with a beautiful rendition of the prayer for the safety and well-being of the soldiers, sung by 12 year old Neriah Granot.

The  Guest of Honour, Mayor of Netanya, Miriam Fierberg, gave a warm speech of support for Alynu’s work

Nechama Levy, founder of Alynu,  addressed the audience about the vital work that Alynu is doing to support the displaced families from the South and North, who have found refuge in Netanya, and thanked the Mayor, the municipality and management of the Matnas.

The proceeds of the ticket sales are funding an after school club (tzaharon) for displaced children living in Netanya for the next three months. They will have  a hot lunch, enrichment classed and help with their homework, 5 days a week.
